This installment, while still being something of a one off presentation also continues to set the stage for the future story arc, as we get our first view of the Village of Thornhaven. And in case you have not noticed, Lucy is something of an unusual 12 year old girl.

When I drew this page I was very happy with the overall composition and panel layout. I am getting more consistent with Nigel's look; however, Lucy is still not quite firm in my mind's eye. I will be curious to see what all of you think when I post the installment on March 11. I have just finished drawing and lettering those pages and I am now doing the final inking. I think I finally have the look I want for Lucy when you see the next update.

As always I welcome your comments.

I like the view also. The inking has a nice blend of black and white.

I think you have a solid command of black and white, the contrast is substantial and your line technique is crisp. I like the noir humor as well.

Thanks gang, now if I could just get the hang of being able to change my header and fonts I would be happy.

Grey, glad you like the dark humor. There will be some legal humor coming soon which I hope all of you will find entertaining. And yes, more dark humor as well.

I really enjoy black and white and the challenges it places on the artist. Although I am thinking of using some tones in future installments. I bought some nice Manga tones at my local art store today I am wanting to test out.

Your background as an illustrator are obvious in this work.

Very well done. Well done, indeed.

But of course, again I searched the internet and found an image that suited my needs and then made adjustments.

Your drawings are awesome!! Luv 'em.
However, the plot is rather shallow.
Almost nothing happens, no action at all.
Only psycho(logical)issues btw. the characters inter-related.
Have seen better ones, sorry.

Well if you are looking for action just hang on a bit. But in the end this might not be your cup of tea.
