OK I goofed and uploaded the wrong page but it is fixed now. I did a lot of cross hatching and using different inking texture techniques on this page. I may begin to experiment with using grey markers to add a different kind of depth to the pages.

Things really must be slow in Thornhaven, even though it is payday!

Really love the cross hatching you've got going on. Lovely details as always! c:

The guy in white down the bottom: you just know he's going to be a bad guy.

Ah Bethany, you are so perceptive. Well he is not a bad guy per se, but not good either.

Excellent artwork, Kim.
I am looking forward to seeing more to this story.

Nicely done. Needs more pitchforks, though. ;)

The gray ink worked really well in the other page, I think you should try it more. It's nice to see something drawn, inked, and lettered by hand. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I like it.

I am finishing up the next installment but have not done the inking yet. Because the next page is a lot of talking heads it will be tough to get into the detail that the last few pages have had. I do like doing everything by hand. However, I am beginning to like using GIMP to refine some things.

Nice work! Just read through the story so far. I really like where you're going with it and the tone seems right on. I like the characters too. And Nigel has made me laugh a few times. The drawings are great and the inks are very nicelly done.

They're just here collecting for the policemen's ball!

Policemen have balls? Wait? What??? :)

@ Chuck and demontales,

Thanks it is very satisfying when what I pencil actually works out well once it is inked. Sometimes I am not sure the image I am working is going to pan out.
