The previous installment of Nigel the Nosferatu was actually drawn after this episode. "Information Spaces" was a project for my Masters in Library and Information Studies. This episode titled "Vampire Angst", is really where the story begins for Nigel and Lucy, oh and Malfelix too. This episode is two pages. Future installments of Nigel are not going to follow a set page format. In fact the next installment is only one page. However, many of the installments that are forthcoming run 3 or more pages. I have decided that the Web Comic format does not place any limitations except the ones the medium and the creator place on the work.

Another note, when I first started writing and plotting Nigel I had originally planned on it being sort of a gag a day strip. Yet, as the characters began to develop I realized that going forward the strip is going to become more of an on going story arc. It is one of the neat things about the creative process, you start out with one idea and then it takes you to places you had not considered before. Enjoy the comic.

You have a very enjoyable style of drawing that is never boring to look at. I especially like your inking. It is good enough where color is not even needed.

Thanks Doug, I have always been a fan of the black and white comics. Which is not to say I do not like color. In fact I considered drawing Nigel in color originally doing the panels in watercolors. I might leave that style for another strip however. Thanks for subscribing and I look forward to more comments and discussion, not just about Nigel, but the process and art of comics in general.

This is cool so far. It's like Calvin and Hobbes meets Nightmare Before Christmas. Not to mention the amazing art. Gotta love the castle.

(takes a bow) Now that is high praise. I only wish I had as much talent as Bill Watterson and Tim Burton.

Fabulous castle, can I steal it sometimes?

Feel free Mo to steal what ever you need. I based the castle on Lichtenstein Castle in Germany.

Loving the thinner ink lines here and the mood of the whole page was a direct hit! Well done!
